Celebrate your child’s birthday with a Deep in Nature forest school party. Parties are designed for children aged two+ and allow children to explore the natural world through forest school activities. We provide all the equipment and materials for the party, together with an experienced party host and assistant to guide the children through the activities. You just need to provide the party tea and birthday cake and enjoy the party!
We run the party at a lovely Harpenden venue (which has a modern and spacious hall plus kitchen and toilets). Our venue has a lovely, safe green space that backs onto the common and woods and is surrounded by ancient oak trees. We put up hammocks, a nest swing, slackline, mud kitchen and potion station outside and also provide some indoor nature-based activities for younger siblings and those children who prefer to spend some time inside.
You can choose your party craft theme, or let us put something together for you covering the different elements of forest school. We work to tailor the party to each child’s interests, making a Deep in Nature party a memorable and personal experience.
What’s included?
- Venue hire (hall plus outside space) for three hours
- Two hour party (90 minutes of forest school fun plus 30 minutes for you to host a party tea)

We run our forest school birthday parties year-round. The party tea is held inside the hall where we set up tables and chairs for the party guests. Depending on the weather, we run craft activities outside or inside the hall. Children always have the option of spending a little time inside if it’s hot, cold or raining, although most are happy to continue exploring the outdoor activities. The combined indoor and outdoor space gives parents peace of mind that they don’t need to worry about the weather for the party. We offer a catered party option through lovely local business Feeding Time Parties.

- Additional children can be added at £10 per child.
- Deep in Nature is fully insured for all children attending the party and all staff are DBS checked. Tricia (the party leader) is a qualified and experienced forest school leader and Montessori teacher with an MSc in Primate Conservation, specialising in conservation education. Tricia is qualified in forest school first aid.
- The cost includes the venue hire for three hours to allow for set up and tidy up.
